Getting Your Home in Order with Flylady
Do you find housework overwhelming, and/or neverending?
Do you find it difficult - or impossible! - to be organized at home?
You may want to check out the Flylady website.
"Flylady" has a wonderful cleaning system that she suggests where you basically spend 15 minute increments decluttering and cleaning.
You set a timer for 15 mins each day and then race the timer, decluttering and/or cleaning as quickly as you can.
This is something that at my house we try to get the whole family in on. After dinner, we set a timer for 15 mins and all of us race around tidying and cleaning.
It's really wonderful! It's amazing how much you can get done in such a short period of time, and it's much easier to face doing it when you know you are only going to do it for 15 mins at a time.
Flylady also suggests dividing the home into "zones" and has a schedule where each week you focus on decluttering a particular "zone" of the house (i.e. kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom, etc...).
