Tubing Down the Elora Gorge

Kevin and I got a chance to take off overnight and went to the Elora Inn - without the kids! :-)

We also spent the day tubing down the Elora Gorge - it was a lot of fun.

The ride starts out very wild - one time I got thrown off my tube but managed to catch it, and there were a few near misses and one very hard whack against a rock - but most of the time it's pretty calm and relaxing.

We rode down the Gorge twice in its entirety plus did a few extra shots of just the roughest starting point.

Unfortunately I had a mild "swimmers' ear" external ear infection prior to going tubing, and it quickly developed into a very severe infection, so I had excruciating pain at night and barely slept at all in spite of the Elora Inn's wonderfully soft and relaxing bed - and I'm still waiting for my hearing to return though the pain is better now - but I would still do it again!

Next time I will use ear drops and make sure I have no infection to start with!

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. It's kinda hard to bring a camera while going tubing. Too bad because I'm sure we looked funny in our tubes, complete with life jackets and helmets.
