Maggie's Misadventure

In a complete and utterly selfless gesture of solidarity – reminiscent of such canine heroes as Lassie and Rin Tin Tin – Maggie has decided to join me on my Isagenix cleanse program.
Unfortunately, she does not appear to have grasped the entire concept behind Isagenix.
While Isagenix products may or may not be quite healthy for human consumption, I can with absolute certainty say that it is not advisable for dogs to eat an entire bottle of 60 Isagenix “snacks” in one sitting.
I am still puzzling over how she managed to get the brand new, fully sealed bottle opened – without marring it with any teeth marks, no less. No amount of interrogation persuades her to reveal her method.
Even the cat's lips are sealed. I suspect an inside job.
Slightly concerning is that the lid for the bottle is completely missing. I only hope she didn't eat that too.
To make matters worse, the “snacks” she consumed were chocolate – toxic for dogs.
It is clear she has been experiencing some gastrointestinal distress - between frequent barking episodes during the night where she needed to go outside, some serious flatulence, and a refusal this morning to eat anything at all, she was not quite herself. Yet, at the same time, there is a slightly euphoric glint in her eye, knowing she got away with something.
Her appetite seems to have fully returned now. There has been a lot of coughing - we think she may have heartburn. Also noticeable is a completely insatiable thirst. I haven't noticed that the snacks make me thirsty but then I guess I never inhaled 60 of them in under 30 seconds.
Given that she survived the entire easter bunny she scarfed down unnoticed, last spring, I've not been hugely concerned though I have kept an eye on her, just in case.
I’m really going to be annoyed if she ends up losing more weight on this than I do.
Darn dog!
